Meet Jim & Lynn Scott
Jim and Lynn love living in Sandspit because of the closeness of the community. They feel comfort knowing that help is nearby should they ever need it. Lynn appreciates how the children in the community are free to explore and “just be children” because the whole community watches over them. Lynn genuinely enjoys living surrounded by nature and loves the forcefulness of the ocean. “I have lived in Sandspit for 42 years,” said Lynn, “I met my husband Jim here, our son Andrew was born in Charlotte City, I will be here for the rest of my days.”
Lynn likes to garden, travel the islands and relax with a good book. She enjoys sewing too and offers a sewing class for elementary school aged kids in her home. She and Jim like to keep busy and are proud of their great and clean accommodation business, Lynn’s Place. They have plans to grow their business by adding on another bedroom to their popular guest house.
Lynn knows the importance of tourism to her small business and is happy to get the word out so tourists know she is there. “This is home,” Lynn said, “I simply love the Gwaii.”
Classy. Relaxing. Warm.
Lynn’s Place is a private and self-contained guest house in Sandspit. Lynn provides relaxing accommodation and wonderful customer service to help visitors relax and enjoy all the natural gifts of Haida Gwaii.
The guest home is located in a garden and features two recently updated bedrooms, a full kitchen, full bathroom, a relaxing sitting room with a television and a washer dryer set. Lynn’s Place is ideally located within walking distance to the beach at just half a block away.
Lynn and her husband Jim are always happy to provide advice on sites and outdoor places that highlight the wonderful ocean and forest setting of Sandspit on beautiful Haida Gwaii. Lynn’s Place is the perfect spot for Haida Gwaii adventurers to unwind and relax before going back to the mainland.
