Meet Jeanette & Ted Corry
Avid crafter Jeanette Corry was having trouble finding some of the products, like wool, that she needed to feed her creative habit. There were no craft supplies shops in the area, and it motivated her to open up Made With Love Craft Supplies in 1999 along with her husband, Ted. She has been helping to supply other island crafters ever since. One of the things she most enjoys about being in the craft supplies business is being able to connect with other crafters and share tips and information. She also loves to share her own passion for crafting with others and inspire people to experience the art and fun of creating, whatever their skill level.
Jeanette and Ted are long-time Haida Gwaii residents who appreciate the quiet, peaceful natural surroundings and the casual pace of island living. Having lived here for so long, they figure they know just about everyone and say it’s easy to get to know people in a small rural setting. Residents are friendly and open, and “people here really pull together when there is a need,” Jeanette remarks.
When Jeanette isn’t working in the shop, she is often busy doing craft projects of her own. She particularly enjoys knitting and crocheting. Most of all, though, her favourite way to spend her spare time is with her family.
