Meet Roeland Denooij
Roeland Denooij is a family man through and through. His two kids mean the world to him and he spends every chance he gets with them. Living in Haida Gwaii allows for more time doing the things that really matter in life. No waiting in rush hour, no line-ups, no grouchy city-dwellers. Island life has it’s own pace and it’s the only way anyone should live.
Roeland is a graduate from McGill University and has a passion for music. He volunteers his time and energy as artistic director for the Edge of the World Music Festival in Tlell. Roeland is also passionate about coaching his children’s sports teams, fishing, travel and admiring variations of architecture.
Many of Roeland’s days are spent working as a high-profile contractor. In 2010, he turned his long-standing vision into a reality with his business, RD Contracting and since then, he hasn’t looked back!
